Description

Neoral contains ciclosporin (also known as ciclosporin A), which is a cyclic polypeptide consisting of 11 amino acids. It is an immunosuppressive agent licensed for the prevention of graft rejection following heart, kidney, pancreas, bone marrow and lung in transplants. Benificial effects of ciclosporin therapy have also been shown in patients with severe psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, rheumatoid arthritis and nephrotic syndrome, conditions that may be considered to have an immunological mechanism
