For the topical treatment of dermatoses of the scalp, such as psoriasis and seborrhoeic dermatitis, that are unresponsive to less potent corticosteroids

Bettamousse contains betamethasone, a glucocorticosteroid that has topical anti-inflammatory activity. Contains the dipropionate ester of betamethasone, equivalent to 0.5% betamethasone, which is a glucocorticoid synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid exhibiting the general properties of corticosteroids, and 2.0% w/w salicylic acid, which has keratolytic properties. The lotion is applied topically to the scalp in the treatment of hyperkeratotic and scaling conditions, where its keratolytic action facilitates penetration of the corticosteroid.
