Description

Sporanox is a triazole derivative with a broad spectrum of antifungal activity that inhibits the growth of a broad range of fungi that are pathogenic in humans

Indications

For the treatment of pityriasis versicolor and dermatophytoses caused by organisms susceptible to itraconazole (Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp., Epidermophyton floccosum), e.g. tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea corporis, tinea manuum, and onychomycosis caused by dermatophytes and/or yeasts. Sporanox is also indicated for the treatment of candidosis (vaginal and oral), histoplasmosis and systemic fungal conditions
