AproDerm Emollient Starter Pack

It is also an effective pre-bathing emollient so can be applied to skin prior to bathing to prevent it from drying out even further, whilst protecting it from the irritant effects that can be caused by washing and bathing products such as soaps, shower gels and shampoos. The final emollient is AproDerm Ointment, the most intensely moisturising emollient within the pack. AproDerm Ointment

AproDerm Ointment is an intensely moisturising, occlusive, leave-on emollient that is suitable from birth and free from preservatives, common sensitisers and irritants. Providing long-lasting hydration as a result of its high oil content, AproDerm Ointment soothes, moisturises, protects and enhances the skin barrier. This vegan-friendly and cruelty-free ointment can be used throughout the day, however if a patient finds the greasy formulation cosmetically unacceptable it can be applied at night time and complemented with another emollient during the day. Particularly great for overnight use and for hand eczema, AproDerm Ointment contains white soft paraffin 95% and liquid paraffin 5%. The 500g ointment pot now comes with two free handy spatulas (dishwasher-safe) to decant the ointment, so that patients do not use their fingers to remove it from the pot and potentially infect the contents.

ExoCream

Acts as an emollient which softens and moisturises dry skin, restoring the skin’s normal protective function and acting as a barrier to irritants. It contains white soft paraffin 14.5%, light liquid paraffin 12.6%, hypoallergenic anhydrous lanolin 1%, and is fragrance free. The paraffin creates a breathable hypoallergenic layer of oil on the skin surface to prevent water evaporating while the lanolin heals and softens the top layers of the epidermis, soothing inflamed skin and preventing further flare-ups. May also be used as a gentle facial cleanser, avoiding foaming soaps which can be potential irritants.

A Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) free menthol in aqueous cream. It can be used to soothe and cool heated, dry, irritated and itchy skin conditions. The preservative undecylenic acid also helps to protect dry and irritated skin against fungal infection. There are three strengths: 0.5%, 1% and 2% menthol.

Myribase Cream

Myribase Cream is a soothing and moisturising daily cream that softens, protects and delivers instant hydration from the first use. It is SLS, parabens and lanolin-free and is suitable for dry, itchy and eczema-prone skin. The cream helps repair the skin barrier by locking in moisture, and protecting skin against irritants and water loss.

Myribase Gel

A protective, hydrating emollient for the treatment of dry skin conditions. It contains a higher oil content than an emollient cream, is light to the touch and non-greasy, with the ease of absorption of a gel.
