MEDLight Psor-COMB

The Psor-COMB is a powerful light source that emits a special quality of light, providing active UV energy direct to lesions on the scalp, while its toothed plastic housing means that high UV energy is always supplied at an optimal treatment distance. The patient initiates and maintains therapy by combing the scalp against the growth of hair. Moistening of the scalp is recommended as wet skin absorbs more UV light

Menthoderm

Menthoderm

A Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) free menthol in aqueous cream. It can be used to soothe and cool heated, dry, irritated and itchy skin conditions. The preservative undecylenic acid also helps to protect dry and irritated skin against fungal infection. There are three strengths: 0.5%, 1% and 2% menthol.

Mepiform

Discreet and flexible scar dressing consisting of a laminate (polyurethane and non-woven) covered with a soft silicone gel

Metanium

Metanium nappy rash ointment soothes nappy rash and relieves irritation and redness. It contains Titanium Dioxide 20% w/w, Titanium Peroxide 5% w/w, Titanium Salicylate 3% w/w, and Dimethicone 350, light liquid paraffin, tincture of benzoin and white soft paraffin.

Metosyn

Metosyn contains fluocinonide, which is a synthetic anti-inflammatory corticosteroid. Its mechanism of action is related to vasoconstriction and suppression of membrane permeability, miototic activity, the immune response and release of inflammatory mediators

Metrogel

Metrogel contains 0.75% metronidazole, which is a topical antibacterial

Metvix Cream

After topical application of Metvix (methyl aminolevulinate), porphyrins accumulate intracellularly in the treated skin lesions. The intracellular porphyrins (including PplX) are photoactive, fluorescing compounds and, on light activation in the presence of oxygen, singlet oxygen is formed, which causes damage to cellular compartments, in particular the mitochondria. Light activation of accumulated porphyrins leads to a photochemical reaction and thereby phototoxicity to the light-exposed target cells

Miclaro Oat Cream

Miclaro Oat Cream

Formulated with naturally active colloidal oatmeal for the relief of dry and sensitive skin. The natural starches found in the oatmeal help cleanse and maintain the skin’s natural balance, soothing inflammation and redness, while the proteins and lipids contained in oats moisturise dry and irritated skin by preventing trans epidermal water loss. The lotion is easily absorbed, non-greasy and relieves dry and sensitive skin with regular use. The cream restores the epidermal barrier while soothing and relieving dry and irritated skin. Both the cream and lotion contain avena sativa kernel flour 1%, are fragrance free and are suitable for adults and children over the age of 3 months.

Microair Barrier Socks and Gloves

Microair barrier fabric prevents allergens/irritants from getting into contact with the skin but still lets it breathe. This is a tri-layered fabric, made of a knitted polyester microfibre in layers 1 and 3. The internal layer is a micro porous membrane (2) which allows the passage of water vapour and sweat whilst remaining waterproof, blocking the passage of allergens
