Daktacort

Daktacort is a compound of hydrocortisone and miconazole nitrate. Miconazole is a potent broad-spectrum antifungal and antibacterial agent with marked activity against dermatophytes, pathogenic yeasts (e.g. Candida spp.) and many Gram-positive bacteria, including most strains of Streptococcus and Staphylococcus. Hydocortisone is a widely used topical anti-inflammatory of value in the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions including atrophic and infantile eczema, contact sensitivity reactions and intertrigo

Daktarin

Daktarin contains miconazole nitrate, an imidazole antifungal agent that may act by interfering with the permeability of the fungal cell membrane. It possesses a wide antifungal spectrum and has some antibacterial activity

Dalacin T

Dalacin T is an anti-infective treatment for acne. The active constituent, clindamycin, is a known antibiotic. When applied topically, it is found in comedone samples at sufficient levels to be active against most strains of Propionibacteria acnes.

Dalbecal Ointment

Contains calcipotriol and betamethasone. Calcipotriol is a vitamin D analogue. One gram of ointment contains 50 micrograms of calcipotriol and 0.5 mg of betamethasone (as 0.643 mg betamethasone dipropionate). One gram of ointment contains 50 micrograms of butylhydroxytoluene (E321).

Dalonev

Dalonev is a calcipotriol/ betamethasone combination. Calcipotriol is a vitamin D analogue. In vitro data suggest that calcipotriol induces differentiation and suppresses proliferation of keratinocytes. This is the proposed basis for its effect in psoriasis.Like other topical corticosteroids, betamethasone dipropionate has anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, vasoconstrictive and immunosuppressive properties, however, without curing the underlying condition. Through occlusion the effect can be enhanced due to increased penetration of the stratum corneum. The incidence of adverse events will increase because of this.
